Tommy Montgomery is an actor and musician who loves performing for children. While at Niles North High School in Skokie, Illinois, his theatre class fielded stories written by kids in the school district, aged kindergarten through fourth grade, and dramatized them into an hour-long sketch show called That's My Story!. When one kid's handwritten story "Gizmo the Pig" made little sense and Tommy's classmates wanted to scrap the story, Tommy was intrigued by this kid's imagination and was determined to put it in the show. So, Tommy turned "Gizmo the Pig" into a rap song with a catchy chorus. Since then, playing music for kids and making them smile has been the joy of his career. Since August 2022, Tommy has acted and played guitar in musical puppet shows with Shadow Box Theatre that tour to schools across all NYC boroughs for ages 3-8. In December 2024, Tommy joined the NYC acting company of Only Make Believe, a non-profit arts organization that creates and performs interactive theatre for children with disabilities and illnesses in hospitals, care facilities, and special education programs. Since March 2025, Tommy plays guitar and co-leads "Social Jam" at Creative Speech Therapy, providing music therapy to children in weekly groups co-led with a certified Speech Language Pathologist. In June 2024, Tommy performed as "Blaze", the official mascot of the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup.
